TEAM MEMBERS & OPERATIONS
We have a team of 60 amazing Drivers who serve our customers day in and day out by providing them with ongoing exceptional service and excellent customer experiences while maintaining the assets we have entrusted to them.
The Operations Manager oversees the day-to-day operations and ensures everything is running smoothly. Our Fleet Manager is responsible for maintaining the equipment, keeping the trucks functioning at peak performance, and making sure the drivers have all of the tools and resources necessary to have a safe and efficient trip.
Within our Dispatch Department dispatchers are on the front line, and their top priority is serving our customers by scheduling their loads and return loads with our drivers, to create an effortless experience for customers from start to finish.
Our Accounting Department is in charge of making sure we operate within our budget, as well as providing us with live reporting that allows us to make important business decisions so we can increase profitability and be good stewards of our resources.
The HR & Compliance Department handles all things compliance-related, the logistics of our full health care coverage, and 401(K) for team members.
And last, but not least, we have our Founder Ryan Good. Ryan has freed up his time to work “on” the business, rather than “in” it. He leads the company focused on vision, strategy, and direction, while relying on the trusted, talented, and valued team members above to keep the company operating with excellence.
Everyone on the team consistently practices and follows the GOLDEN RULE. It’s woven into the very fabric of our company. Team members treat each other with respect, hold one another accountable, and encourage each other to grow and reach their goals (both on a personal and professional level). We treat each other with respect, appreciation, and as valuable members of a high-performing TEAM, because that’s what we are.
Recognition is an important part of our company culture and that’s why we consistently create extraordinary experiences and reward team members for hitting important professional milestones. We celebrate with five “touch-points” a year, which may include a team member’s birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Father’s Day, and a work anniversary. Whether it’s a fully planned fishing trip to the Adirondacks or hitting the trails of West Virginia, we create fun and memorable experiences.
We also recognize and celebrate when we land big deals with plenty of high-energy loud cheers and high-fives, creating a positive memory to mark the occasion. We acknowledge high-performance benchmarks with our drivers. Every six months drivers receive an evaluation based on company performance scorecards, core values, and expectations with incentive structures tied to their performance. In addition, if a driver goes a whole month without an incident they receive a $500 bonus.
Team members are constantly setting new and challenging goals for themselves. This includes personal, health, relationship, and business goals. We invest in personal development seminars and online training courses in order to provide essential team members with the ongoing education necessary to excel in their key areas of the company. Our team members also have an open mind when it comes to trying new ideas. They are excited to learn about new strategies to improve the efficiency and profitability of the company and are eager to implement these new ideas in the pursuit of constant and never-ending improvement.
Even our vendors love to deal with us because we are a breath of fresh air. We are professional, well prepared, respectful, and we pay them promptly. Whether it’s with team members, customers, or vendors, we treat others how we’d want to be treated.
When you pull into our main office building in Bethel, Pennsylvania (along route 78), you are greeted by a stunning, large, open, and airy office environment that is sparkling clean and filled with lots of natural sunlight. Even visitors, customers, and vendors marvel at how modern and welcoming the office is. When you walk through the door there is an office bullpen area off to the right that is electric with energy… where the team laughs and drinks coffee in the morning, getting ready to crush the day.
As you continue to walk through the office you see our reception area and private offices on the other side. There is also a large conference room and a fully stocked kitchen and dining area. This is where the entire team congregates together on “Free Lunch Fridays” where we chow down on delicious BBQ cooked on the company smoker, burgers, pizza, or some other delicious treat! Everyone also loves the modern tiled bathrooms, with all the latest finishes including showers and lockers. Our state-of-the-art, 130-foot long shop has 24-foot ceilings and plenty of natural light. There are also 8 truck bays, with 14-foot doors, for the rigs to efficiently get cleaned, serviced and ready to head out again.
There is a calm, comforting vibe amidst the focused energy, intensity, and confidence. Team members can be seen throughout the day on mission and fully engaged in their work.
SALES & MARKETING
Our marketing and sales philosophy is very straightforward. We have a list of dream customers who value service over price and we call and reach out to them. Then we continue to follow up with them and stay in touch. This keeps us top of mind and ready for when the opportunity presents itself. This simple marketing process results in us getting our foot in the door with these new dream customers. Then it’s just a matter of delivering top-notch service that will turn them into repeat customers for life.
We truly believe that every child deserves a home. That’s why RGM Transport and Logistics wholeheartedly supports the Angel House Organization, a charity that has been rescuing children and giving them a safe place to call home for the last 13 years. We are blessed to have been able to support this cause that is so near and dear to our hearts. We have built 10 orphanages in India so far, each one housing 12 wonderful children, and we are just getting started! We also have a contribution program in place that we make available to team members so we can support charities that are meaningful for them as well.
I can still remember it like it was yesterday…
Trucking has always been in my blood. I grew up on a dairy farm, and my dad had a small trucking company. In 2008 I started driving one of my dad’s rigs, and in 2009 my wife and I got married and drove on the road for about a year. Even though I enjoyed driving a truck, I didn’t see myself doing it for the rest of my life, and I realized I preferred working with people instead.
That’s when I made the decision to change directions and I started looking around for other possibilities. About this same time, God orchestrated a meeting: I met a man who owned a small trucking company, and an opportunity presented itself to me. In 2010 I started managing his trucking company with the understanding and agreement that ultimately I would buy the business from him. In 2012 I successfully bought him out and changed the name. Shortly after that, RGM Transport and Logistics was born.
Now 12 years later we have been blessed to operate this multi-million dollar company with an amazing management team that creates growth opportunities for everyone. We now have 60 awesome drivers that are in alignment with our four core values of Stewardship… Positive Influence… Open and Honest Communication… and Continuous Personal Growth.
